Registered dietitian in downtown Vancouver, focused on fertility and pregnancy nutrition
Nutrition support as you prepare for pregnancy and move through it: for both partners trying to conceive, and for managing gestational diabetes and blood sugar during pregnancy. Built around your health and coordinated with your care team.
Trying to conceive and being pregnant both ask more of your nutrition, and the advice out there can feel noisy and contradictory. I help you eat in a way that supports your health through each stage, grounded in evidence and coordinated with your physician, midwife, or fertility team.
Fertility nutrition, for both partners
Nutrition is one part of preparing for pregnancy, and it matters for both partners. I work with women and men on everyday eating that supports overall health and nutrient status as you try to conceive, including nutrients like folate, iron, and B12, and habits around blood sugar and weight. Anything outside a dietitian's scope is referred back to your physician or fertility clinic.
Pregnancy nutrition
During pregnancy your nutrition needs change and questions come up quickly. I help with balanced, realistic eating for each trimester, managing nausea and food aversions, and getting the nutrients that matter, always alongside the care of your maternity team.
Gestational diabetes & blood sugar
If you have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes or are watching your blood sugar in pregnancy, nutrition is central to managing it. I help you build meals and routines that support steadier blood sugar, working from the targets and monitoring set by your care team. This is nutrition support that complements, and does not replace, the care of your OB, midwife, or physician.
How I work
I start with where you are today, your history, your routine, and any guidance from your care team, then focus on the handful of changes that make the most difference for the least friction. My approach is warm, practical, and evidence based, focused on what you can act on rather than fear-based rules.
After your baby arrives, I also support postpartum nutrition as part of nutrition through life's transitions.
This page is general education, not medical advice. Nutrition support complements the care and monitoring provided by your physician, midwife, or maternity team.
