Nutrition through life's transitions
Life stages like the postpartum period and menopause change what your body needs and how eating fits into your day. I offer warm, practical nutrition support to help you feel steady through those changes.
Some seasons of life ask more of your nutrition than others. Needs shift, routines get upended, and the advice out there can feel contradictory. The goal here is simple: realistic, nourishing eating that supports how you want to feel, adjusted to the stage you're in.
Postpartum nutrition
After birth, it's common to feel stretched and unsure how to eat well for yourself. I help with nourishing, realistic eating that fits new-parent life and supports your energy. Nutrition support works alongside the care of your physician, midwife, or lactation consultant, and anything outside a dietitian's scope is referred back to them.
Perimenopause & menopause
Through perimenopause and menopause, appetite, energy, and nutrition needs can change. I can help you adapt your eating to support your energy, bone health, and overall wellbeing during this stage, in a way that fits your life, and coordinated with your physician.
How I work
I start with where you are today and build a plan around your goals, your routine, and any guidance from your care team. No fear-based rules or promises, just steady, informed support focused on what you can control.
This page is general education, not medical advice. Nutrition support complements, and does not replace, care from your physician or other health professionals.
Nutrition transitions FAQ
What are nutrition transitions?
Nutrition transitions are the life stages when your body's needs and routines change and eating well can take a little rethinking, for example the postpartum period, and perimenopause and menopause. A dietitian helps you adjust your nutrition to support how you feel through those changes, coordinated with your care team.
How can a dietitian help postpartum?
After birth, it's common to feel stretched and unsure how to eat well for yourself. I help with realistic, nourishing eating that fits new-parent life and supports your energy and overall nutrition. Nutrition support complements the care of your physician, midwife, or lactation consultant, and any specific medical concerns are referred back to them.
Can nutrition help during perimenopause and menopause?
During perimenopause and menopause, appetite, energy, and nutrition needs can shift. A dietitian can help you adapt your eating to support your energy, bone health, and overall wellbeing through this stage. Individual experiences vary, and I work alongside your physician rather than replacing medical care.
