I'm Jennifer Ying, a Registered Dietitian (RD) based in Vancouver, BC, and the founder of Nova Nutrition Counselling. I see clients in person at Inspirit Health Group in downtown Vancouver and virtually across British Columbia. I hold a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of British Columbia and am registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.

My clinical career spans cardiac care and heart health, diabetes and blood sugar, preventive care, and general medicine, including work in mental-health settings across British Columbia. I've worked alongside physicians and their patients, translating complex medical nutrition into plans people can actually live with.

I have a particular interest in the gut and the microbiome, and how digestion connects to the way you feel and function day to day. I also support clients through life-stage changes such as pregnancy, the postpartum period, and menopause. My approach is warm, practical, and grounded in evidence, whether that's settling a struggling gut, steadying your blood sugar, supporting your heart health, or eating well through a life transition.
