What to expect
Your first session is a thorough conversation. I take time to understand you: your health and medical history, any relevant lab work, how you eat and live day to day, and the goals and concerns that brought you in. You leave with clear, practical first steps, and, where it helps, a written plan.
Follow-up sessions are where much of the progress happens. I check in on how things are going, keep you accountable, and adjust your plan and your nutrition as you go.
Fees
An initial consultation is $170 and a 30-minute follow-up is $130, the same whether you meet in person or by video. Nova Nutrition Counselling can submit claims directly to most major extended-health insurers, including Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Canada Life, Manulife, and Green Shield Canada, and you'll receive a receipt for each session.
Extended health coverage
Many extended health plans include coverage for services provided by a Registered Dietitian, and claims can be submitted directly to most major insurers (listed above). Coverage differs from plan to plan, so it's worth checking your benefits booklet to confirm that Registered Dietitian services are included.

Do you offer virtual appointments across BC?
Yes. In-person sessions are held at Inspirit Health Group in downtown Vancouver, and virtual sessions by secure video are available to clients anywhere in British Columbia.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No referral is required to book with a Registered Dietitian. If you're working with a physician, I'm happy to coordinate care with your medical team.
